It’s a problem that we don’t often talk about, but it exists nonetheless. In Oakville, Ontario, homelessness has become increasingly prevalent over the years. Entire families are forced to sleep in their cars, while others spend the night in shelters or on a friend’s floor.
To combat this growing problem, Oakville Infiniti, Genworth Canada and a host of other sponsors have launched Sleep in Your Car for Hope 2017. The campaign originated last year when Home Suite Hope board chairman, Peter Kolisnyk, slept in his car for seven nights. He ended up raising over $20,000 to aid homeless families in Oakville!
This year, we decided to it was our turn. On September 23, 2017, Oakville Infiniti’s General Manager Adam Robinson will be sleeping in a QX80 to help raise awareness for homelessness in and around Oakville. The people of Oakville have a rich history of giving back, and we’re proud to continue that tradition.
Want to see the QX80 in person? Drop by for a visit – we’ll even have some delicious treats on hand. It promises to be a great evening, full of community, charity, and hope!
