The Infiniti QX80 VS. Cadillac Escalade | Comparison

The 2017 Infiniti QX80 is the most formidable three-row luxury vehicle on the market; a perfect option for those who need multiple-passenger space but aren’t willing to sacrifice on style. With standard features such as tri-zone climate control and a 360-degree camera, it’s as much a high-luxury vehicle on the inside as it is a powerhouse on the outside.

With Infiniti’s 400 hp 5.6-litre V8 engine, the QX80 can tow up to 8,500 pounds. Meanwhile, Infiniti’s Hydraulic Body Motion Control System balances the vehicle’s weight to give you a smooth and stable driving experience. Finally, equip the QX80 with the available four-wheel-drive system and this seven passenger SUV can tackle any type of terrain.

QX80 VS. Escalade

Towing and Drive: The Cadillac Escalade, while offering comparable power, severely lacks in certain key areas when compared with the QX80. The Escalade can tow up to 8,099 lbs. – almost 4,000 less than the QX80. It also offers owners a less than desirable drive over bumpy terrain. Meanwhile, the QX80 is equipped with Infiniti’s Hydraulic Body Motion Control System which keeps the interior quiet and the ride smooth.

Technology: When you’re driving a vehicle as large as the QX80, you need intuitive technology to navigate the ride. Infiniti’s Predictive Forward Collision Warning does just that. By measuring the relative velocity and distance two cars ahead, drivers can stay aware even when the vehicle directly in front doesn’t apply their brakes. If your closing speed on the vehicle ahead becomes too fast, an alert will sound. The brakes are then applied to decelerate the vehicle.

{Predictive Forward Collision Warning}

The QX80 also comes with available Blind Spot Intervention should you unintentionally leave the center of your lane. Both world-class technologies work to keep you and your passengers safe, and both are currently unavailable on the 2017 Escalade.

Space: Passengers in the backseat will find more room for comfort in the Infiniti than in the Cadillac, thanks to greater head- and leg room. There’s also more cargo capacity in the QX80 thanks to a few inches in extra length over the Escalade.
